Not every buyer wants the same sort of car
Cars For You is built around a mixed inventory rather than trying to fill the site with twenty nearly identical examples of the same model. Current stock can range from practical hatchbacks and estates to premium saloons, SUVs, high-performance cars and older enthusiast vehicles.
That means the information relevant to each car changes too. Someone buying a Toyota hybrid has different questions from someone considering a 5.0-litre V8 coupe or a twenty-year-old Porsche.
Individual vehicle pages
Every current car has its own dedicated listing rather than existing only as a summary card on the stock page. Each listing includes three vehicle photographs, mileage, engine, gearbox, power, body style, colour, owner information and practical notes about buying that type of vehicle.
Every vehicle also has its own CFY stock reference. Quote that reference when contacting us so the conversation is about the exact car you are looking at.
Used cars are individual objects
Two cars that left the factory with the same specification can be very different ten or twenty years later. Previous maintenance, mileage, tyres, repairs, ownership, storage and use all affect condition.
This is why we encourage buyers to inspect the individual vehicle rather than treating a model description as a substitute for checking the actual car.
Straightforward vehicle information
The purpose of a listing should be to answer useful questions before somebody has to telephone the dealership. Basic details such as drivetrain, gearbox, mileage and colour should not be hidden behind an enquiry form.
If a feature is particularly important, however, it is still worth confirming it on the exact car before travelling. Equipment can vary by year, market and factory options.
Viewings and test drives
Cars can be viewed at the Birmingham showroom during normal opening hours. For older, specialist or higher-value cars, arranging the visit beforehand is useful because some vehicles may be stored away from the main front display.
Test drives are available subject to licence checks, vehicle availability and staff availability.
Independent inspections
Buyers are welcome to arrange independent inspections. This can be particularly worthwhile when buying an older performance car, modern classic or technically complex premium vehicle.
A professional inspection is not an insult to a seller. It is simply another source of information before making a significant purchase.
Performance cars
Fast cars require more than checking whether they accelerate properly. Tyres, brakes, suspension, servicing, modifications and transmission maintenance can all make a substantial difference to ownership cost.
Our performance section therefore includes practical buying context rather than treating horsepower as the only detail worth mentioning.
Older cars and modern classics
Older enthusiast cars should not be evaluated using exactly the same expectations as nearly-new stock. Originality, corrosion, age-related mechanical work, storage and long-term maintenance history become increasingly important.
Cosmetic perfection is not necessarily more desirable than an honest older car with good mechanical history.
Our current inventory
There are currently 21 vehicles in the site inventory. The selection changes as vehicles are sold and new cars are added.
The complete current list is available on the main cars-for-sale page.
