Services

Used-car buying is easier when the practical details are clear. These are the main services available around viewing, inspection, preparation, part exchange and collection.

What we can help with

Services are arranged around the individual vehicle and buyer rather than forced into one package.

  • Vehicle viewings View current stock during showroom hours. For specialist, older or higher-value vehicles, arranging a time in advance helps us make sure the car is accessible and ready to inspect.
  • Test drives Test drives can be arranged subject to a suitable driving licence check, vehicle availability and staff availability. Performance cars may require advance arrangement.
  • Independent inspections Third-party inspections are welcome by prior arrangement. If you use an inspection company, give them the CFY stock reference so there is no confusion about the vehicle.
  • Part exchange We can consider your existing car against current stock. Initial figures can be discussed from registration, mileage, history and condition, with the final figure confirmed after physical inspection.
  • Vehicle preparation Preparation varies by car and may include cleaning, minor cosmetic work, tyre or brake attention, servicing or other agreed work before collection.
  • Collection planning Once payment and documents are complete, collection is booked for an agreed time so the handover can be completed properly.
  • Delivery enquiries Delivery may be possible depending on the vehicle, destination and timing. Ask for a quote before assuming transport is included in the advertised price.

Independent inspections

Buyers are welcome to arrange a professional inspection before purchase. This can be especially useful on performance cars, older vehicles and modern classics where condition, maintenance history and previous repairs matter significantly.

Inspection companies should contact us beforehand so we can agree a suitable time and make sure the correct vehicle is available. Quote the CFY stock reference shown on the advert.

Part exchange

For an initial part-exchange discussion, have the registration, current mileage, service-history information, number of keys and an honest description of condition available.

A remote estimate is not the same as a final valuation. The final figure is confirmed after the vehicle has been seen and checked.

Preparation before handover

Used cars do not all need the same preparation. One vehicle may only need a final clean and document check, while another may require servicing, tyres or other agreed work before collection.

Any preparation specifically agreed as part of the sale should be confirmed before handover so both sides know what is included.

Delivery and collection

Delivery is not automatically included in the vehicle price. Where delivery is available, the cost depends on distance, vehicle type and transport arrangements.

Buyers collecting in person should wait until the sales desk confirms that funds, paperwork and preparation are complete before travelling.
